Yes, Rosey’s results were “floatingly stellar” :applause:
Block fill is easy to find at most any paint store ...

tb2 and 3 are paintable. i have used both. roll it on and i was good to go. the paint does fill in the weave, but not to the point of having a smooth surface. but it is paintable. :wine:

One thing to remember about T3 is it does Not like to be glued over with more T3 once it’s cured ... Paint seems fine though ... just something else to remember ...

Grabbed some block fill today and played around with it some. It's like working with really (overly) wet pottery clay. This stuff is heavy, but wondering how much of that weight evaporates away once it dries.

Thick stuff eh !!! Once the solvent (water) evaporates , it should lose a good bit of weight .... I used a Lot of it to fill my concrete blocks on my house and studio ... works Great !!!

so how thin of wood could I get away with?
As I would like to have some storage to tidy it up a bit and was thinking of putting in a live-well. The underside will probably be coated with Truck Box liner to seal it and give it some extra strength but the top will have an Exterior carpet on it so when I bring the dogs they can be comfy too

Wood ??? Just a good canvas should do unless you weigh 20 stone. Perhaps a small center brace to the deck to further eliminate bending ...

IIRC 1 stone (archaic British unit of measure still in use today) = 14 lbs., so 20 stone = 280 lbs. Not a bad target for design margin. I tend to range in the 18 stone zone, myself.

Use stock frame pine 1 x 2 like I do and it's massive strong. Just skin with a hard surface for hottest strength. Formica it's lightest found shop far thats hard enough.
