Hi all Foamlings,
Here is a web site for the Sing Homes Co. that makes foam & Plywood
"honeycombs". [Should really be called "grids" since the divisions are
square, not hexagonal - - but thats a quibble I guess, probably.]
http://www.superhoneycomb.com/
They have the standard panel size of 4x8, but other sizes are available,
and they have various thicknesses available as well.
Anyway it is interesting to look through and can give ideas/inspiration.
For floors I think it's a good idea. A totally foam constructed trailer body
may not be the most efficient or strongest in certain areas. Instead
of trying for a total "orthodoxy" of all foam or nothing, lets combine other
materials with the foam in ways that enhance the entire build and provides
better strength or performance and safety. The majority of the material
will still be foam, with its' benefits. Let's take advantage of the benefits
the other materials can add to the build.
Cheers,
