I worked on the door today. And if I would have had more snowshoe beer I might have put a window in that door too!!! But alas, I am out of snowshoe beer...

It's a pretty snug fit... the next step is to glue on the top... like this...

Didn't I estimate the beer this foamie can hold once before?

Tonight is a shopping night. Let's see, I need taillights, marker lights, and a hinge for that door. :?

Did you guys know finding a 4' stainless steel hinge at a good price is like next to impossible. I found a 6' hinge for like $17 and $19.

3' and 6' seem to be the most popular sizes. You want 4'. Pay thru the nose!

Door looks GREAT! Careful how close the window comes to the top edge. You might want to lower it a bit.

More snowshoe BEER!! I want to see more pictures :)

Agreed... I didn't trim 3/4" off the bottom, so that pushed everything up by that much.

The window as drawn is 15". 12" might be better.

But I've yet to figure out a good way to build it.

That was the reason I went with regular brass hinges ... used 4 ... Works fine , no leaks... and that’s been tested for sure for sure .. :o
Rat, you read my mind about the window ... the centerline of the circle even with the centerline of the rectangle ... Mike’s choice... No rules eh !! ;)

i am so glad i had swallowed my tea before i read this. that statement just cracked me up so bad.

that is how bad i am in the technical department, i would never have guessed there would have been a problem with the window placement.

Beautiful Mike! I like the circular winder. By the time you get the supports in, the window part itself will be smaller. Too much smaller and it'll look like a peephole LOL.
