not sure which way to take this...there was no sign of the toads? as in they were gone? or they are underground in the habitat?

Well, either the crickets ate them (doubtful) , or they jumped in the “Toad Hall” ... I see the dirt is re-arranged ... there was a big hole where the Toad crawled out , now it’s all even again ... so I must assume it’s back hibernating ... same thing as last time , Big meal , it got cold , and a long nap ... soon as it warmed up ~70F it crawled back out ....

Am I to assume you picked your dogs and pony/horse to have similar color and markings? Has to make it much easier when you go to buy school clothing for them. One color combination fits all. I bet they're cute out there waiting for the school bus.

I wish we here in MN could get some of that precipitation you eastern folks have gotten of late. We're in a getting-to-be too long drought situation around here. We have a layer of good topsoil over 4' deep and the ground is getting so dry, so deep, that house foundations are starting to compress the dirt and settle - some by several inches. People are having to pay thousands of dollars to get their homes re-leveled. So go ahead. Send us some of your moisture.

We've been sitting around zero minus for a few days around these parts. Unlike you though GPW, we can't just go downtown and find a place with some cajun hot sauce menu and take the chill off. So there. Stop belly achin' and enjoy the temps for those of us who can't.
