I am going to chauffeur manure around today. Looks like work will be winding down starting this afternoon or tomorrow. Only sporadic work until spring time.

Turkey day morn went out and unloaded an old fiberglass camper shell that I dragged out of the woods and loaded on the equipment trailer late the day before. Spent some time looking at it and think that the side windows will work in my next build which is gonna be a real foamie. 8) Afterwards went over to the folks house and ate WAY too much. Still full...
Gotta work today and tomorrow so trying to get ready for the shopping hordes.

Hope everyone had a great day yesterday.

We tried to spend the night in the foamie last weekend. However, I kept hearing this clawing sound. Sounded like some critter clawing their way into the side. :frightened: So you know since that image and thought was in my head, I had no choice but to run into the house for safty sake. The next morning I went out to take a peek and we just parked the foamie a little too close to a tree branch! Everytime the wind would blow, it made the branch scrape across the foam. That particular night it was aweful windy.

It was my big collie and my granddaughter out there, we were actually pretty warm. The outside temp though was probably in the 40's, expecting to be freezing or below by that morning.

Now, details on condition of foamie. I think it still holding up fine. I do have to change out a door hinge.

:wine:

Door hinge ? Where? (I know, on the door :duh: ) Why? Further Foamie’ development requires the facts on aging, no matter how small or perceived insignificant...

Will have to double check why. Now thinking about it, this shouldn't happen because we screwed into a wooden block. Next trip out there I will do a closer look.

Thanks ... reason I’m asking ... am facing similar issues on Foamie #1 , having to change out the cheap window hinge , which has gone to rust ... Got a nice new Al piano hinge for it , and some Stainless steel screws, but first have to fill a few of the old screw holes... Likely with the putty mix Mary used... and then re caulk and paint , and while we’re at it , the whole darn thing might get repainted too ... Now you’ve got me thinking to really check my door hinges too ... Might as well get all this done before the “restoration" ...

Ok so I went out and checked my hinges  Oh, Hi there, , I am just thinking so fast I just have a lot to tell. I went by this lady's house and saw her TD. I stopped and really got a great look at it . I did leave my name and hopefully her builder will get in touch. I am on my way out the door to go to Harbor freight and to go to the fabric store. I will report back later I promise and with pictures.
Eagle stop thinking about little critters wanting to get to you. I promise a mouse or rat wont try getting to you they will try to get away. Well glad you did try it anyway.
I am glad everyone had a great Thanksgiving, so did I. I have many things to be thankful for. :worship:
Now Harbor Freight and Joannes.................. :dancing :vroom:

... so Mary , don’t keep us in suspense... did you find any Thrifty bargains ?
And what happened to Eagle ...? Went out to check the hinges ... froze in place ? :frightened:

Here’s my hinge.. just dead awful !!! Got the Al hinge/SS screws ready ... now searching for some Good paint , some Thrifty Good paint ... A little fresh caulking wouldn’t hurt either...

This first cheap purchase didn’t turn out so thrifty in the long run after all ..

I just posted :pictures: on Grits and I am just so busy, and here I am, gotta get up and go to work (I am helping out a friend) and just cut another little piece of foam with knife. I have too many things going on. Bob Patterson posted on my site too It was his TD I stopped and saw. the other day and No I didn't have my camera with me.

Ok, I had to pick up a couple of little things I went by Harbor Freight and picked up two Christmas presents, a canvas tarp and talked with my friend, gave him the info to get on here and check out the forum. I went to Joanns and purchased some material for the wall that separates the sleeping area from the Galley. I will take pictures when the weather is a little better and I am home in the day light.

The week of the 16th I will be cleaning my house so I really dont expect to get a lot done on my TD for a while. but I will be putting my 2 cents worth in here now and then.

My son got a deer behind the house, a 6 pointer.

GPW That hinge looks really bad. The hinges on my doors are fast approaching that condition. I now know what the will look like soon. I will have to replace them too. :( :x
