Eagle , Thanks !!! I’m hoping it will just be “functional” ...
Covering , well then , knew we’d get around to that sooner or later ...

Covering is one of those things that is easy to do , but takes time and patience ... an un hurried job !!! We got our canvas in the more usual 60” width , so we’ll have several seams (which doesn’t bother me at all) ... But there is a pattern to covering the FS... we have to start in the back (once it’s done) , cover that , then start on the sides at the bottom (not forgetting the “reinforcing” strips) , overlapping the next layer over the first , seams facing down .. and so on ... Once the sides/top is done , we can cover the nose , bottom first , then the “sphere” ... That way all the seams face away from and out of the rain and the “relative wind "... Covering can be very simple (meh ! ) or very nice ... We’ll try to do the nicest job we can ...
JMHO , I think the seams will add some character to the shape (if I can do it neatly

) , more of that joined panel looking rather than just a plain long smooth shape .. more Airstream , submarine, Blimp , ish’ ... Going to use the glue trick to cut the fabric... without fraying , the seams can be very neat and clean looking ...
Ps. The Gripper dries like Crazy in just a thin layer (and in this Heat) , so we’ll have to be
quick with that to attach the canvas...

Another curious gripper note .... surfaces primed and appearing dry to the touch , should they meet another primed surface , will quickly become “married” and become inseparable , without a good bit of effort ... ask me how I found this out ...
Somewhat stopped in progress until I can get some more foam ... 2” thick sheets this time ... to fit the back framing ... Going to the roofing company down the street , they use the Blu foam and maybe I can wrangle a couple sheets outta’ them ... a couple pictures and a good story always helps ...

That and I’m a former customer and neighbor ... so we’ll see how that goes ... Two sheets and I’ll be done with foam ...
But I could always do more sanding ....

K', seems open kerfs would collect crumbs over time eh , or were they filled ? ....
