Got back from the Wal mart (grocery day) ... Checked all their trailer tires ... found a nice 12” tire and rim rated 1045# @ 80 Psi ... for 75USD... compared it to the 13” they had , and it was smaller indeed... :o That might just work ...

KC, the trailer is high in the back now because the tongue is on the ground almost .. once leveled it should be an easy entry with a little step thingie’ ... so no problem there ... ;)

Working on a spread sheet of weights to better guesstimate the overall weight ... be back ...

Here’s what I came up with ... weights taken from materials weight sheets and shipping weights ...

Trailer … app 350#
Flooring … 180# @ 72 sq.ft …
Foam …50#
Cross members … 50#
Stringers … 20#
canvas 40#
Hardware and glue 25#
Paint 25#
Ribs 35#
-------------------------------------

Total app. 775# or about twice the weight of the Foamie #1 Lighter than I expected ...

To be Honest , I really don’t want to cut and fab those wheel wells ... grrrrr!!!

Since your using this for a critical function you should definitely put new tires on it. Last thing you want lined up for evacuation is a tire failure

Yes , new tires is the plan  ... Those old dogs on there have just had it .. I remember my Jayco had 12” tires on it (4 of them) and it weighed a whopping 4000# (20’) ... So my little fluff of a trailer should do ok with those huh ? ... I think, maybe ? Not going that far (<200mi) , definitely not going there fast ... not in EVAC anyway .. :R

OK, I’m convinced to try the 12s ... I wonder how they’ll hold up driving 14 hours @ 5 Mph  ... Reminder to self : next time leave earlier , avoid the traffic ... :R
Well that’s that and well done ... Thanks for the tire Help everybody !!! :applause:

Now back to sanding and making that door ... Now I have to think about windows ... I need Three... just small ones ... Thinking it would be best to have the window cutouts done before we cover , so I can wrap the canvas around and inside the openings ...

The tv door Window trim would work just build your door to be an inch thick and get Lowes to cut a plastic sheet to fit it. What I used for my side Window on my mini. The frames are crazy cheap in many colors.

TV window trim ??? Where??? Steve , my door “blank” is already 2” thick .. :o

Just sent an e-mail to FrankBear , asking about those windows ... I conned “Her Worship” into paying for them ...

The dollar amounts are adding up .... may break a $1000 yet ... Still waaaaay cheaper than the last one we had ... just a couple monthly payments we made on that one will completely finish this one ... 8) Thrifty !!! :D

Looks like I found a spare tire too :dancing .... The CT is still sitting ... doesn’t need a spare tire if it doesn’t move ... ;)

While we’re making cutouts for the windows (when we get them) , might as well make the cutout for the AC ... probably the most Importraant part of the trailer for “you know who” ... If she’s not cool , everybody’s miserable ... :frightened:
Found this , looks nice , the right price and some good reviews ... and supposedly quiet ... http://www.walmart.com/ip/Frigidaire-5- ... 7/14254284 Perfect size for mounting in a section of the FS ...

Nice thing we found out , by buying these things from Wal Mart , should they go out "on the road" , they’re easily replaced... Those Wal Marts are everywhere... :o
