in vessels not so different

As time goes on , we see a lot more things being built from foam … It’s just a material that can be utilized by everyday people like you and me … and using a limited amount of common tools most of us already have … :)
Foam boats seems a natural , even if it doesn’t work , it still Floats …

Maslow CNC opens up pretty limitless possibilities,

with plywood as well

maybe even precisely cut fabric for PMF?

Wow! No posts here in over a year. Maybe the whole foamie thing is dead before I even get a chance to play.

If you read the entire thread, and nobody is here to acknowledge you've read the thread, did you still read the thing? Hmmm…

Thank you to everyone for their contributions here. Even the silly stuff. I have started planning for a foam camper of my own design. More to share soon.

Mike

I think people ( enlightened people ) more and more are discovering the benefits of a foam trailer , over those heavy , rot prone pricy beasts of the past ... RV's as we know are prone to fall apart and are a big "money pit" ...that and with questionable warranties , and overly pricy repairs from "dealers"... That and cars are getting smaller and unable to pull a 4000lb+ Box, which is overloaded from the start (Just Too Heavy) .

And not to mention my Foamie has sat Outside for a decade ( through storms and now multiple hurricanes yearly )without needing any major repairs that I couldn't handle myself ... Try that with a commercial trailer ...

No , Foamies are not dead , not by any means ... Just many people have yet to discover the benefits and practicality of a foam trailer .. ;) :D At this time , a decade later , I've only invested about $2000.00 in my trailer ...That breaks down to $200.00 a year for the peace of mind knowing I have a trailer ready to go , should I need it ... 8)

"No , Foamies are not dead"

Oh right… I forgot to use the sarcasm font.

But you skipped over the most important part. I read all 484 pages. And now [sarcasm font]I know as much as everybody here[/sarcasm font]. So where is that home-build Alto guy with my certificate of completion?

I am a foamie believer,
Mike
