Future Fantasy Foam Fabulosities

Hi all Foamlings,

I gave this thread an intentionally goofy name as I didn't want to take
anything away from tinksdad's "Silly Foamie Ideas" thread. I think
his rendering is a great idea and he ought to build it if he decides that's
the way to go for him.

This thread could be used to stretch our imaginations - just for fun -
and propose some fantastical but doable ideas. Sources/resources
of info for these could be the worlds of set design/building and also Mardi
Gras float design/building. Foam sculpting for these could be a lot of fun.

Inspiration can come from many places. Fairy tales, cartoons and
advertising props come to mind at the moment.

And of course, no one would be held to having to actually build their
proposal. Most would probably be too time consuming to build. This is
just for fun and wholesome possibilities.

My first proposal would be to have a TD or TTT shaped like "The Little
Old Woman Who Lived In A Shoe" 's Shoe. I've seen pictures of follies
of this built in the past as houses etc.. If the shoe is built more like a boot
style - as most of the house follies have been built - it would give room
to stand up and change clothes in etc.. Imagine the fun you'd have at
the DMV when you go to register your Shoe" ! Ha!

Anyway, just something different to suggest.

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo

Hehe...that thread got me thinking about a pic I posted in another thread...

Ok, given that it's a foamie, I guess we don't need the fire...but I bet one could get into a fairly ornate castle scene on a wall of 2" foam that's 6' high and 12' long....

I like the shoe but think it should be done on a tandem cause then it would be a rollerskate

oh no, everyone's drinking the water now! but i like the roller skate idea, too cute.

we watched the hgtv make over for your back yards with disney themes. so of course my mind always goes there.

a castle would be cool. the pumpkin shaped carriage would be a cool one, well for me anyway.

oh you could even shape one to look like a bear.

Eagle , you need to set up a cupcake stand on (deleted) Rd ... make a little "egg" money ... Use the Foamie as a concession stand ... Bet it would attract lots of attention , and "fund" your next project ...
