I've used foam to build RC plane wings, but never considered foam for a TTT. Is there a site or book to get me started with the basics? Thanks Gang!

Check out the Trifty Alternatives Build Journal. It has a lot of information. To answer your question though, I don't know of any books.

So you're already in the right spot just click on the really long thread. You'll catch up with a lot of information and discussions. I know it's really long, but I think it was well worth the few evenings it took to read it. Also check out a couple of the builds going on and you'll get different approaches to some similar issues. There's no real right or wrong way, as long as it works. It's just your way.

hey you are not all that far from me. i am on the north side of the cbbt.

sit back, grab a tall drink and relax in front of the long thrifty thread. ideas where thrown out there and some where taken to heart and ran with.
be prepared there are all sorts of things in that thread. it is also a thread where most any kind of chit chat with take place also.

Bear , just think of it like building an Extremely low aspect ratio (0.5/1) foam wing , with an Very FAT (50 %) Airfoil ...Add the sheet wingtips and you’re Done ... Simple huh? Ribs, spars , covering ... all the same ... Just Bigger parts ...
