Tyvek glued to foam instead of canvas?

It has been mentioned, but no one has tested it yet. The biggest concern is what to use for adhesive. There was some thought that TB2 might not dry under tyvek and if it did, the tyvek might be too slick for a good bond. Mixed down foam in a can might do it. I haven't found anything that stuff won't stick to.

For other applications I know some people are using 3M Super 77 spray adhesive.

I'll run a test tomorrow with some Fastbond 30. I'm sure I still have a tyvek floppy disk/cd envelope. :D

JMHO, I don’t think Tyvek would offer the strength you’d need , unless it was really THICK ... :thinking:

I been waiting for some one to mention Tyvek.

Tyvek boat

Not much insulation, non really, but a wood framework and tyvek over it.

The tyvek in the boat is the same as a tarp boat, strength is from the frame.

I thought about a frame and canvass/tarp camper. The made old plains like this
