And IMO after working with both, canvas is much easier to work with although done properly (a big consideration) fiberglass gives you a better finish. I suspect fiberglass is stronger but canvas is pretty tough stuff too. Toss up!!! Depends on your time, skills and wants

All that ...^... and the tiny consideration of Repairs... :o Canvas is MUCH easier ... Having done a modicum of glass work on Corvettes and “Kustom” cars at my brother’s old shop, you CAN get a Beautiful , mirror like finish with a fiberglass , but it takes a Lot of time , grinding, filing , filling , sanding , priming and more sanding ... more priming , then even more sanding , then you get to paint it , and if you stuff that , we it’s back to sanding again  ... With canvas , you fill the hole with spray foam , stick on a patch , and you’re off down the road ....Canvas is pretty much accepted to be a “textured’ surface , much like a Tent , and if presented as such , then all’s well ... I think we all want that slick look , we’re brainwashed for that ... probably goes back to some kind of psychological Cleanliness Phobia ..... Mostly Marketability ... Like the Jewelers famous creed “ Shiny S**t Sells !!! “ ( True !!!)
Remember , it’s Not an RV .... It’s a Foamie !!! It’s “special” ... The thinking man’s (or Women’s) camping trailer ... We’re Pioneers here , breaking new ground learning how to adapt to the new Century ... new materials that you don’t have to wax every month , doesn’t ROT , nor de-laminate ... Practical , and Efficient .... it’s the New Frontier !!!! ....
