Poor Man's composite

Cardboard and fiberglass - could be done with paint and canvass I Imagine.

Now that would be a real thrifty trailer.
Recycle cardboard, recycle paint, recycle trailer and all you need is the canvass.

Or not even use canvass just paper mache on the interior and exterior, might not be as strong though.

s you can see I do more thinking then building

I always thought Foam and canvas WAS the poor man’s composite ... :o Cost me a fifth the price to build my Foamie , vs. my wooden TD ...The only cardboard I ever considered was the thin non-corrugated kind , which is more similar to pressed wood ... the corrugated is more paper than board ...

Cardboard is commonly used in composite work honeycomb nomex is very similar.. The thing is, they use corrugated cardboard on it's "end grain" because it is more resistant to compression forces. Balsawood on it's end grain is also use in a similar fashion.

Foam and canvas is a version of poor mans composite.
There are other possibilities as well.
Could be cheaper out of recycled cardboard, then some old bed sheets on intrior and exterior, maybe add paper mache the exterior and interior, or just paper mache and no bedsheets.
