Catherine , we’ve just begun to see those sticky “love bugs" here , a situation we haven’t had to deal with washing off painted canvas yet ... As with a car , probably the sooner you wash it off, the better... :NC

I'll let the rain soften it up for me first. :D

Just a hint .... my brother used to be in the automotive business (auto body ) , and he’d WAX the front of the car or truck and leave the wax on when anticipating love bug encounters ... They came off much easier later on ..

Now you tell us I am traveling too late now anyway. There's love in the air when it isn't raining.

I forgot to mention, after the Labor Day Weekend trip, how Penguino II towed. I felt most comfortable at 55-65 mph (actually the posted limits on all but I-25), although that may just be my mild paranoia after the Penguino I incident. Really, I hardly felt it most of the trip, although it definitely slowed us down going over La Veta Pass in southern Colorado. Generally I get 32-35 mpg with my Elantra, but with the trailer I got about 25 mpg. Ouch!

Loving it, though, definitely loving it! 8)

Catherine , you’ve done a Great job !!! Perhaps re-shaping the nose more rounded would give you a little better mileage ... but maybe not that much ... Just enjoy your new trailer ... Have Fun !!! 8) :D

Actually, I'm already thinking about #3, back to the more traditional teardrop shape with the curved front. The boxy shape works well with the bunk-bed cots, but when it is just me, I just prefer the curves.

Catherine , I was talking with Mary (Grits ) about the same thing yesterday ... It would appear that Foamies are really Addictive, she's planning another also... ;)

The curves are really nice and although more difficult to make and gives less cubic volume , they sure look good ... like teardrops ... 8)
