Foam desktop

I was in need of a new desk for my home office and I decided I wanted to build a standing height desk. I also wanted to try foam/canvas construction to see how things went. I'm preaching to the choir but I'm impressed with the ease of building in foam.
I used a hot wire to cut groves so that I could glue in some pieces of wood. The wood serves as a hard attachment point and it gives some much needed support since I am using the foam in its weakest direction. I covered it in canvas using TBII and then I painted it with a scene from the movie Office Space. I felt it was fitting since it is going in my office. It will be mounted to the wall using the brackets.
I'm impressed with it so far. Not much flex and it is crazy light weight.
Just thought I would share to show yet another example of what can be done with foam and canvas.
