I have been reading tons and have finally half-way convinced hubby that this will work.
We started to build about a month ago.
Hubby found this, for free. (Sorry its fuzzy)
We built the floor using 2 x 3’s and ply. I coated the ply with “the mix”.
I started trying to get the foil off the foam. I ended up sanding the foil off of the sheets of foam.
Then we attached the walls.
The plan was to attach the roof and canvas this weekend.
Then Mother Nature changed the plans.
I am sorta glad it collapsed, I can now see that the foam edge was not level/straight so the edge of the floor and the walls did not make good contact. Next time I will use Great Stuff instead of Gorilla Glue.
So now I am back to square one, but I hope I can make corrections and make the camper better in the long run.
Now I have a question.
As you can see in this picture there are holes in the foam.
Do I need to fill them and if so with what?
I thought about using light weight drywall spackle. Hubby says to use Great Stuff.
