Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I just love the shape of this proposed "Zeppelin" velomobile/HPV car.
It is very Dymaxion-ish. It looks like a variation on the plank
boat building method or the stitch-n-glue method could get this done. And the
designer is thinking of going down the the Open-Source path. This looks ike a very reasonable way to do compound curves with flat strips.

The red ones cool Nd could support a number of techniques and your rights. .. the white one is hideous

I love the idea of a sociable velomobile but it would definitely required a lot of electric assist since it would be so wide as to impede motor traffic unless you could get up to & maintain a good amount of speed. It is super cool that it made it to the Detroit Auto Show.

Most DIY velomobiles seem to be made from coroplast. A few have used zotefoam. If you used very thin XPS and the lightest possible substructure you could make a lightweight velomobile shell. Then you build a little single berth torpedo shaped trailer to pull behind it.

This from my understanding is the most aerodynamic car body design. It has a cd of .15 which is the lowest ever.
