Pretty slick ! If I used a shop more than a few days per 10 years or so would be worth constructing, especially if I had all those tools.

That will work, but I prefer the one I built several years ago by modifying some motorcycle lift table plans I bought on the internet.
It's in it's lowest setting ( four total) and can go up to 35" with the aid of a floor jack.
I made a notch in the center for a pallet jack so I can move it about the shop when needed.
It's strong enough that it even held the new 350 engine for my 55 Chevy.
Best bench I've ever worked on, it has served me well over the years.
