This is my 5 wide by 9 long no wood foamie. On a harbor freight trailer. The curved roof makes the roof stronger. Well almost no wood. The floor in the galley and the galley wall is wood.
132999
It has FRP on the inside of the 1" foam ceiling with canvas glue on the roof. The side wall have canvas on the inside of the 1" foam and FRP on the out side The floor is FRP on the inside 2" foam and canvas underneath.
138450
It has Wylie windows and bars that pull out for changing.
138449
A drop floor in the galley and a bin under the bed.(It was a mess after 2 weeks on the road and has been redone).
133190
I changed the tongue for a center jack with pipe spacers. I also lowered the trailer with the axle over the spring and removed the center leaf for a softer ride.
138447
Ready to go. untested from MN on a loop of 6 NP's in two weeks. Six days before this picture there was no floor in the galley and was unwired.
138446
With the giants. I think that is the parking lot at dinosaur NP
138448
Rocky Mountain NP
138445
My dog and the Wilie window fully vented dog dish propane radiant heater.

Like our earliest mammal ancestors dwarfed by the dinosaurs who were unaware of their impending extinction.

Eagle ...

K', Dinosaurs no one can afford the maintenance on anymore ... Likely caused by the trailer manufacturers making their units so they only last through the warranty period , then systematically fall apart ... Vulture Capitalism strikes again ... :R

Motorhome are really bad as far as maintenance. One does not wear out tire they age out along with everything on a motorhome. With a TD replacing the drive train is replacing your dally driver.
I can most likely build a new foamie for the cost of two of their payments. And at 640 # I can go anywhere without fearing the gas pump.
