OK,
Type of foam: Extruded Styrofoam (the Blue or Pink stuff)
Adhesive, foam to foam: Gorilla Glue for smaller areas (expensive) ,Great Stuff (spray foam ) for large areas
Adhesive, foam to wood: Titebond 2, Gorilla Glue
Type of fabric covering for foam: Canvas , mid weight or better …
Adhesive, fabric covering to foam: Titebond 2
Type of fabric covering for joints: Canvas or even fiberglass tape , glued with TB2
Adhesive, joints: Same
Fabric weave filler material: LatexPrimer , or “block Fill primer” , Glidden Gripper works fine …
Type of exterior paint: Good quality Exterior Latex preferably with mold resistance for wetter climates …
Type of interior paint Whatever color you like , exterior paint inside cleans up better (JMHO)

* and 25% TB2 to 75% water for the “sizing coat “ .... Don’t forget that ... :o

What GPW said but I'll add gluing a light canvas or muslin over my plywood floor on the inside before paint. Smooth and less slippery when wet.

Sky, a sizing coat is a thin glue coat applied to the canvas after gluing it to the foam , and before priming .... It Makes SURE that all the canvas, even deep inside is thoroughly waterproofed ...

Pm , you know , a while back the ladies were gluing torn brown paper bags to the floor ( and walls too) to create a pattern ... looked good ... Finished it looked like a patchwork leather ... 8)

For foam to foam I prefer gorilla glue, if there are gaps I use folded great stuff.
For foam to wood I mostly use PLpremium, first I bore holes in the foam, that do not go through. Then pump them full of PLpremium. A thin layer of PLpremium then locks the wood to the glue "bolts". For non stressed areas I also use Gorrilla glue to bond wood to foam.
For my foam boats I use cotton bed sheets, on my Teardrops, I use 8 oz canvas.
For foam to fabric adhesion, TBII
I wrap the whole tear in one layer of canvas, joints don't need an extra layer.
To stick fabric over fabric I use more TBII.
Any exterior house paint will work, porch and floor might be tougher, all work fine in my experience.
Buy oops paint to fill that thirsty canvas, if you find a color you like, use it inside the tear.
Since most tears live outside, exterior paint is best inside as well.

I also believe that perforating the foam with a warner 250
Is the best way to get a good foam to anything bond

Just to clarify on the top coats and sizing; you want to wait until the adhesive coat under the canvas is fully cured before applying sizing or top coats. I believe it was DaleS from down under who discovered that if you put wet on top of wet it can blister up. This is believed to be caused bythe top coat forming a barrier that prevents the bottom coat from airing out.

So it's glue, canvas, allow to dry; then sizing and/or block filler latex, then paint.

I decided to go with a fiberglass and epoxy outer skin, but my experiments with canvas, glue and paint were very favorable. It really does work!

Question on this

I looked at this and the price and I'm wondering if anyone made one? don't know how to do it I thought of a paint roller? I also thought of a flat piece of ply wood with a bunch of nails, kind of like a blacktop tamper? seems like that would be a time waster?

Yeah I ordered one on Amazon $34, it was $59 at the local paint store, guess I'll have to do a lot of foaming to make it worth while ;)
