Next progress video...cabinets are almost done...just need to add some sliding doors at the front...on to kitchen cupboards next.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFJ-l6_GTjI

My plan is as follows.
1) build out most of the cabinetry
2) add a roof to it
3) PMF the complete outside while still in the garage. It is winter and snowing here so I would like to do this inside. Also mount the windows.
4) Transport the whole thing outside by sliding it out on small roller shafting to clear the garage door.
5) Make the trailer frame
6) Marry up the frame with the trailer body
7) Add some basic outside lights to the trailer
8) Drive it down the road and make sure it holds together.
9) Once I'm sure it will hold together as planned them I will start adding some of the more expensive items. Electrical, Batteries, Pumps, etc. These things seem to cost the bulk of the money so I want to hold off on them until I am sure everything is sound.

The cost to date is around $2000.00 CDN.
Most of the cost went into the foam. The cabinets I tried to make as light as possible, using 1/8" plywood and jointed pine 1" x 2". 1" x 2"'s x 8 ft cost about $2 here so it was economical and the plywood is about $23 bucks (called revolutionary plywood). The windows and screening and door I pulled from an old trailer. The openings in the side of the trailer are cut to size to fit the windows. The wooden framing around the windows use 2 x 4" with "the mix" added to the outside for water protection.

Boy....I hope this thing all works out!
Cheers.

Here is a quick video of the sketchup model I designed prior to building the trailer.

Coming along nicely.
With your design aspects of narrow walls and interior frame, should be plenty strong.
As long as you used enough glue. :worship:  :D

I glued all the foam on foam joints with gorilla glue. It seems to work really well. During tests, the foam pulls apart before the glue does.
I made sure when I laid the glue down, i laid it down as a complete bead to ensure that water will never pass through the seam of the foam to foam joints.
The inside framing is glued directly to the foam walls using TBII. Again during tests, the foam pulls away before the glue breaks.

All of the inside framing is held together using kreg jig screws and joints. I made it this way so if I ever have to change something or take something apart it is easily done as nothing on the inside framing is glued with the exception of the pieces attached directly to the walls.

Here is my latest video.

https://youtu.be/hJoOBlWcdBE

Just started getting the kitchenette in place. This is done using 2 x 2's as I figure this needs to be quite sturdy as their will be some weigthy items placed in this area.
I am building it with the intention of having a very primitive water system to begin with. Once I know that the full trailer is road worthy and holds together as I plan, then I will get more technical with the water systems and electrics.
These seem to be the pricier items so I will hold off until I put it down the road to make sure it holds together as I plan.

The initial water system is shaping up to be a 5 gallon water container with a pump under the sink and a 5 gallon lidded pail for a grey tank which will be on drawer sliders to allow for easy removal. Filling up the water container from a fresh water source will be done with either a house or a secondary bucket which will funnel into the fresh water tank (pail) under the sink.

In the future if things work out I will remove the fresh water pail and located a fresh water tank under the bed in close proximity to the kitchenette. This allows the heavier water system to remain close to the main axle for effecient weight distribution.

Thats all for now.

Wish me luck...I am so glad I started this project as it keeps me busy during this COVID shutdowns.

 Cheers.

Good luck but it doesn't look like you'll be needing any.
Like mine, you've built an inner square box frame to reinforce the entire structure. Should be great.
Reinforce your corner joints if concerned, with steel braces. Cheap insurance

Another installation of "Foamies - R - Us"....lol

Finishing up the kitchenette (some final touches still required)...Have purchased tires and an axle...
Roofing is most likely next.. then outer canvas...then trailer frame welding to follow. Then I fasten the two together and give it a test drive and hope it doesn't fly apart and land in a corn field. LOL

Enjoy...
