Hey everybody! Heres the latest video build update, just finishing up odds and ends. We took our first test drive!

First job I had after High school, was at a custom body shop,
Had two BIL's that Owned them
Never seen the tape trick.

Couple years later took Auto Cad 2000
Been Cheating with Solid Edge 2D for cnc to long.
Rounded Corners it is. That's going to suck!

I really enjoy the overall bodywork process, but the sanding and the mess drives me nuts! The rounded corners aren't so bad with a semi soft sanding block and some good tunes

Autocad 2d is my bread and butter, I learned in high school, not knowing it would be such an integral part of my life 15 years later.

Router's to loud and dirty, still cleaning from #1, Hot Wire & Tune's

HAHA yeah. Hotwire seems to be the way to go when initially shaping the foam. Im not sure the foam mess is completely avoidable.

A downdraft style paint booth has been on my wishlist for ages, now that would be a real luxury for foam and sanding dust!

J3, we sanded everything Outside , the dust soon gets assimilated into the ground ... If it rains , it floats away ...

As far as rounded corners , foam is super easy to sand and work , and if you want accuracy , make some cardboard radius templates ... Foam offers many tempting shapes , easily done with a couple grades of sandpaper on a sanding block . You can get it quite smooth . Perfect for fiberglassing as the glass can adapt to more rounded shapes. PMF will be a bit more challenging . But not much .

An outside workspace under some shade cloth may be in order this spring. Only 9 degrees this morning

Man, This forum is moving slow lately, everyone must be in hibernation!

I believe it, It's certainly that time of year! In the teens here this morning, but luckily our cold is short lived. Forecast shows mid 60's the next two days. Good thing, because I cant wait much longer to take the camper on its inaugural overnight!

Great resourcefulness with a portable light bar. This must have allowed a paint spray control comparable to a professional painting booth. I will make sure to use this tip next time I do a paint job. Thanks for sharing your ideas Jake!
