Starting to get materials together for build. Why is 1.5" XPS foam board not available anywhere?

Nothing is available anywhere, unless you live in a windy area with a lot of active construction. If that is the case, then EPS is available nearly everywhere.

Find an insulation supplier and order what you need. Don't forget about garage door companies. They deal with almost as much sheet insulation as actual insulation companies
When I needed the 3/4" XPS, it still took nearly 3 weeks to arrive and I had to settle for half sheets (24x96). They did have 1.5" available to order (I was considering for my floor), but it had to be purchased by the unit (64 sheets) because it is not commonly used here.

Commercial roofers are another source for sheet insulation.

I just checked on the Home Depot site. I'm in the middle of Idaho. They have the stuff in Missoula and Idaho Falls. Have you done a search on their website?

Yes definitely checked home depot nothing available anywhere near me in South central Florida except 1", I may just have to use that and double it up with face gluing.

Closest I've found is in Georgia, bit of a drive.
What is the best glue to use for face gluing xps together?

After putting a lot of thought into it, I've decided that since this is my first build, I'm going to just stick to building a simpler square drop, mainly for the following reasons:
1) current tow vehicle towing capacity. Volkswagen Passat wagon.
2) money and time restraints
3) I'd like it done as soon as possible
4) a finished square drop would be fairly easy to adapt to a raised roof later after I spend some time using it and figure out what I really want and need.

Cool! Went and weighed the trailer today for registration, a little heavier than I thought, I was guessing 320# but came in at 380# I'm sure most of that is in the bigger wheels.
Got new tires, replaced all bearings, and got a rise hitch that was just the right height to pull the trailer almost perfectly level.
At any speed, it's like it's not even there and tracks perfect with no sway!
Only have #1000 pound towing capacity with my Passat. I figure the completed foamie camper portion will weigh 280-300#, so that leaves me with around #300+ for stuff. I'm a minimalist and building and will pack accordingly so I really think I'll end up hitting the mark pretty close to exact!
Let the foamie build begin,,,, as soon as I find the foam I'm looking for!
