Scored foam

Postby Granitedrop » Tue Apr 02, 2024 12:46 pm

I’m about to embark or my foamie journey and I was wondering if I needed somehow fill the score voids in Owen’s Corning insulation. I can buy unscored from Lowes but it costs more. Thanks!

If it's not terribly more expensive or harder to get, go with unscored. Less potential problems and filling.

If you plan to kerf and bend any part then definitely get unscored solid foam.

For a square drop you could probably get by with scored foam (but sooner or later that score will be at exactly the wrong place).
