A childhood memory,

Growing up on a horse farm my brothers and myself would spend our summer vacation building forts and hidouts all over the farm and camping out with our friends,"Pre ATARI days." My mother had wrote a short story "The Hobo Hilton" for a paper or Readers Digest or somthing describing one of our creations in great detail, even sketching out an illistration for the story. The story described all the childhood antics you would expect but she also put into words how proud she was of her sons. She doesnt remember what happend to the story but with her permision Im taking it's name as a reminder of a simpler time, a time spent with friends on warm summer night's and the pride one gets from building somthing you can enjoy with family and friends. Thanks Mom! :)

Ours was named early in the build process. I showed a friend of ours a picture of an old Shasta, the inspiration for the build, and she was fascinated with what she called the 'fins.' When I told her they were wings, she suggested we name the trailer 'Isaiah 40:31' and we could call it Izzy for short. I was skeptical, shall we say?

Then I looked up the verse:

But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

I could use some of that during the build. Yep, it fits. Izzy she is.

For Christmas friends of ours gave us a mat with a pink flamingo and a tiny camper on it (along with a large metal flamingo we can adorn our campsite with). On the mat was also the inscription: "Just another day in paradise." It came to us then what we would name our tear drop: Paradise. And it's great!
