A 1959 Willy's wagoneer. Slab sided flat fendered underpowered with the little 4 cylinder 3 on the tree with vacuum overdrive. Tailgate was 4' tall. No kidding move a refrigerator 35 miles setting on the tailgate. Had underseat storage from door to door. Slide in your fishing poles or shotguns no problem. Please Lord before I die just one more I promise I'll be good !!!

Oh this is an easy one for me my first car. A red 1967 Galaxie 500 4 door. We could pack a lot of people in it, we had many good roadtrips ;)

My parents traded it for a tree triming job while I was away at college. :(
It was parked in their barn and I was driving a TransAm. Boy if I kew then what I know now :duh:

1. My first car, a 1973 Pontiac GTO. Not one of the collectible years, but I liked the way it looked. It was a mess when I got it handed down to me, but I restored it with every spare nickle and minute I had. Like most old muscle cars, it was quick, but had terrible brakes and floated like a boat at high speeds. But, I'd still like to have it back.

2. My 2001 Audi A4 Turbo QM5. I have owned 4 cars in 30 years of driving, and this was the best one I ever owned. I actually kept it for the entire four year lease, and should have gone ahead an bought it. It was Laser Red, with this rare three-tone interior that I loved. It was actually the A4 that Audi showed at the Dallas Auto Show that year. After some aftermarket shinanigans, it would fly, corner like it was on the proverbial rails, and stop on a dime. Man I miss that one.

3. My 1966 Ferrari 330 GTC. Bright Red, tan interi..... Oh, wait, that was my car in a dream I had last night.

I learned to drive in my dads Triumph Spitfire. He later had a head on collision in it. Other than a broken leg, wrist nose, and back he was fine. He has had a full recovery. With that gone and I later came into an inheritance from my grandpa I went on a search and bought a Triumph TR6, bigger than a Spitfire.

That's my Dad's 1956 Dodge pick-up in the background, I wouldn't mind having that one back either.

...don't laugh but my folks '64 Rambler Classic 880...AM/FM radio, A/C, lotssa chrome, a 283 V8 w/500cfm Holley 2bbl, and the front seats folded down to make a queen sized bed...I truly loved that car...even after I rolled it during my senior year of high school....
madjack 8)

p.s. it would outrun any stock 2bbl 289/283 Mustangs and Camaros...oh what fun I had at the stop lights.....MJ

One car I don't miss at all was my 1972 Flame Orange Vega Hatch Back. It had 24000 actual miles on it and it used a quart of oil every 150 miles UGH! I did have a pop up tent that slipped over the hatch lid , and flip down the back seat and had an instant camper. The tent was an option sold by Chevrolet.

My first drive , my Dad's 48 Buick Special......a freakin tank , the back seat so big it was a veritable playground, big honkin chrome steel bumbers that if you jumped the curb and hit the telephone pole( as I did while learning to park the beast), it took a chunk out of the pole!! No damage to the bumper..........huh.. try that today

I've owned lots of cars and built several hot rods over the years. But the one I miss the most right now mit gas prices going so high is the 1960 Ford Falcon I bought in 1962 for $900.00. Big car by today's standards, and got 30 miles to gallon of gas.

It was 1964 and my 1st car. A 1950 Chevrolet Business Coupe, I was 15 a friend told me if I could get it running I could have it, the car had been sitting in his yard for over a year and he couldn't get it started. A little splash of gas, some jumper cables and a good thump with a hammer handle on the side of the carb and it fired right up. I drove it home, washed and waxed it and aired up the tires. When my dad got home from work later he gave it to some people he knew from church. :( I've had a lot of cars and trucks since then including 3 Porsches. That 50 Chevy was the one I missed the most, except maybe for the 58 Porsche 356 Convertible D, now that little tub would be worth some bucks! 8)

1964 Plymouth Belvedere 4 door sedan. 318 poly with pushbutton auto trans. Bought it from an old lady for $900.00 and it was in great shape.
I've tried to find another one recently and can't seem to find one within Texas or the surounding states. Did find one in Mass. with only 19,500 original miles for $6500. Too far and too much.
Guess I'll stick with my 96 Chevy extended cab pick-m-up truck. :(

My dad had a 64 Belevedere wagon with the same engine and tranny. I bet that thing is still running somewhere. It was the best car anyone in the family has ever had.
