I've seen tds where the curtain pattern can be seen from outside the window and also seen where the pattern is seen from the inside.
So which do you prefer?

Voted for both, but what I really like is neutral curtains that you can't really tell front from back.

An early shot of the demo windows I aquired for free at a mom and pop lumber yard closeout that I put in Chubby's doors.

I was informed friday during our anniversary sleep out that curtins had to be installed. I suggested she locate kitcken dish towels or bath hand towels she liked and I would install a simple screen door return spring above the windows. sew a towel to a towel with the pretty sides out and slip them over the spring. A pair to a window ( 4 towels )
The spring will hold the towels open or closed and road bumps and jars won't cause curtin rods to fly off. Cheap and simple like me !

The fabric that we used looks good but different from both sides. It is har to tell which side is the "Good" side. I can also flip them for a different look.

This is what I plan on using. When I saw it, I fell in love with it I guess you'd say. Now if I can just find more of it. All they had was 1.25 yards. I'm calling around.
I will have good sides shown from inside and out.

The pic is sideways. Just so I won't get any comments about that.

Can you make another pair. Put the backs together and sew them together at the top. Then you can see them from inside and out, and doubled should filter out quite a bit of light.

For what it's worth, as a fabric store owner...you should at least line the curtains with something even if it is muslin or a plain white fabric...The sun over time will really tear up the printed fabric. If you put a print on the outside so that it looks good from the street side...it'll fade over time...a plain white or natural fabric won't show the UV damage...it'll protect the inner portion of the curtains. Also...if the curtains are in direct contact with a window, meaning the glass portion without a screen that may have some condensation, they will wick the moisture into the curtains. This can potentially cause them to discolor...you know...like the funky curtains you have seen in older trailers. Just my experience. Doug

Hey Doug or anyone else,
Have you ever tried this product. 303 Fabric Guard Protectant.

Just wondering if this would help.

UPDATE for the florida trip we found fun towels with a lion lying under a palm tree. Since we are both leo's and were headed to florida it was a no brainer, some clip on cafe curtain ring and slide them over the screen door spring worked great.

If I ever figure out how to put windows in .... we will have curtains. If you do not care if the design is outside or in you should have a solid backer for insolation.

My wife and I both know how to use a sewing machine an own a couple of them. She studied fabric in College so I will depend on her as to which type is best for our trailer.

Here is how I did mine. Same material as my interior. Done like a bedroll, using velcro for the catch.
