Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

What type of mattress are you using and why? How tall is it? How long have you used it?

Twin mattress for a sofa sleeper because it was new and free, tear is only 4 feet wide so it works great.

BEST ! Simmons queen pillow top in Chubby ( I had to build the trailer around it )

GOOD! The 4x8 is a cut down 4-5" Memory foam

Just O.K.! 4" 2 piece foam in "the barn" for the couch bed combo.

I use a thin futon topper when in bed mode and it sleeps much better !

We've got one of those $299 walmart spa foam mattresses, 8" it has 3.5" of miracle foam over foam rubber on the rest of the 8". Sleeps so well it will be our next in house mattress... oh, it bends to insert into the teardrop through the door.

I have the 4" Spa Sensations from Walmart. Pretty good mattress for $120. I only weigh 150lbs though. If I were heavier I might be more inclined to buy a thicker mattress. This one just suits me very well.

I bought ours from http://www.mattressbymail.com Queen 5" Lux R foam, medium firm. The 4" would have been enough. I did not want memory foam as some of the locations we will likely be are COLD and reportedly it becomes VERY stiff. And it is very hard to beat the price!

I just had the local foam shop custom cut me a piece of 5" medium density open-cell foam to fit the trailer. The biggest hassle is getting it in or out of the trailer. Oh, and I bought it when gasoline was ~$5.00 a gallon, so I paid through the nose for it

I just purchased a latex topper as my foam matress that came with my little guy I very hard. Even though latex costs more it is much more comfortable in cold and hot temperature. I have not sleeped on it yet k I will give a report after my next camping trip.

We went to a upholstery supply store, our trailer is a little smaller then a full. I used a razor blade to cut it. We got a firm. we have since added a egg crate to it to make it a little thicker. I am thinking of adding a 2nd one or make a thin boxspring.

Put bed sheets on it and several layers of blankets depending on the temp. no heater but the trailer is well insulated.

I use a 6in foam mattress from Wal-Mart. It has 4in foam on one side and 2in memory foam on the other. You can flip it over if you don't/do want the memory foam. Originally designed my tear for a 4in mattress but this works fine, a little tight in the foot box, but the extra height makes it easier to sit on the door sill.

I have twin 4" memory foam topper because it is just me in a 4' wide. I also got two new pillows at Target and it's a great place to sleep.

I just ordered a Qeen size Futon mattress. 60x80"x8". Hope it works. Will let ya know when it gets here.

Thats what I did. I went to a upholstery supply store,(DLT) and bought a 3" extra firm piece of foam cut to size and I also used a
eggshell mattress topper too. It worked out real good.
