Why would would you go through the expense of epoxy over poly if you weren't building a foamie?

The reason why my roof isn't done is there are too many options. Foam and glass would be strong and give good insulation, plus I was thinking of putting some sort of "profile" to the roof edge to add some more style to the roof line.
Or, I might just use ply and paint.... who knows
