Faux (fake) diamond plate, is it good?

Postby DesertApprentice » Wed Jan 19, 2022 2:47 pm

My tiny camper will be entirely skinned with 040 aluminum sheets. Is it a good idea to place some fake diamond plate (self-adhesive vinyl) sheets on the side? If so, any specific recommendations? Overall, I suppose they are just decorative. On the front side, it may have some protective value.

I'm just not sure about the durability. I wonder if I have to remove them in a couple of years, it may even damage the aluminum skin.

Thanks!

.025" thick aluminum diamond plate embossed seems reasonably priced in 4x8 sheets
