Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

We are ready to put the Luan on the hatch but don't have the our hurricane hinge in hand yet. Has anyone done a "temporary" hatch install in order to attach the Luan? If so, how did you attach the hatch frame to the trailer?

I'd drag my feet. It's an extra good idea to have your strut and hinge "dry fitted" before skinning to make sure it's all working. Besides, the hurricane hinge needs to be cut so that about 3/8" hangs over both sides, that takes removing a smarll portion of the 90º portion that fits inside.



But good luck. I hope you come up with a solution that'll work.
