I found some high density polyethelene boards (HDPE) for skin. Do you guys think this tape would adequately seal the seams?

IF not what would you recommend?

.001% of even the best adhesives and sealants just do. not. stick. to that stuff.
So contact real experts, call into 3M, test test test.
Or find a different material.
Apparently welding can be made to work
Regular, and friction welding. . .

I agree. Nothing will stick to HDPE.
And by the way, that stuff moves a lot with temperature.

I'm going to try to screw on the walls, not glue them. I will have a steel frame. Part of the purpose of this project is to have removable walls. It is a sandbox prototype trailer. I wonder if the hdpe can be screwed?

It is easy to drill. I don't know about it's (wood?) screw holding ability but think it should be ok. You can thread it.

I agree with the others. I had a canoe made with HDPE that I tried to patch once. Nothing would stick to it. Eventually, I ended up plastic-welding a patch in it, which held just fine for the rest of the time I owned it.
Good luck.
