Best skin for the price, not wood or metal

Okay I want to do SIP panels, what is the best thing for the best price? First by not metal I mean not sheet goods, alu core stuff would be fine.

Alucore panels run around 49 for a 4x8 sheet but I need some that would be 5 by 12. Just 2 panels that length the rest are 5 x10. I know this means buying it in long rolls like filon, but filon is expensive for what it is. Sawtooth is being done with a panel that cost him a little under 2 bucks a square foot delivered and its much stronger than filon.

Tell me all you know, or what have you found.

thanks

SIPs purchased for buildings? Or are you talking sandwich construction?

Foam core with frp skins ( or alu core stuff, no wood. Yes vac laminated, with epoxy.

The only wood is going to be cabinets.

I'm curious. How will you join the wall/roof/crossmembers?

Well I will be bonding the panels to each other, but I do plan on having a little bit of square steel tube built into the cores that will slip over stubs welded to the frame and be bonded to the stubs. Then in the corners I will slip in a 90 degree steel piece to tie the steel tube in the wall to the steel tube in the ceiling. It will only be 3 spots, front section, middle and rear. Do you know sawtooth xl, mine will be a similar but bigger version. Over all length of the body will be 12 foot, floor space if you can call it that is 10x5.5 by 5 feet tall with a pop top. rear entry door. side slide out kitchen.

Been looking at these panels (they have a 4 x 10) for a sawtooth/grasshopperish build. I'll be looking into that adhesive.
Thanks for the link

Okay those panels are interesting, not a horrible price either but have you checked shipping from the company, which is actually less than an hour from me?

I plan on using frp panels from https://www.vetroresina.com/en/p/1/homepage.html and gluing up my own panels. Same place sawtooth got his. Their frp is .055 thick and is 1.29 iirc a sq foot, they cut to width so no paying for anything too wide. The bad thing is you have to buy 200 plus pay shipping, or if you pick it up like I am no min order and no shipping. It will be a roll so no seams except corners.

my gas will be under a 100 bucks round trip

Was looking through the website and had a question. Are they just selling the fiberglass skins or do they have panels that have a foam core like the ones from my previous post? Could not find such an insulated panel. Maybe I just missed it.
I really like the idea of a SIP with either the aluminum or fiberglass skin.

I dont think they do full panels, just the skins. But i dont know I have spoke with and emailed John, he did ask who was going the laminating so he may know someone who could do it.
