Reg's Walls

I wish I'd taken more pictures. I've just been up the street to visit Reg and check out his squaredrop build.
Wanted to share how he did his wall panels.
They are a composite panel he devised himself and they do look good.
He bought 1500 x 3050mm (5 x 10) x 3mm Signbord aluminium composite panels, 1200 x 2400 x 30mm high density expanded polystyrene, 3mm MDF with printed wood grain and 30mm thick pine framing.
He used these to assemble composite side and roof panes with aluminium on the outside and MDF on the interior.
In between is 30mm framing stocks in filled with the 30mm polystyrene foam.
These have worked out pretty damned good.
And fast! A very fast method, with all finishes pretty much pre-applied.
I hope the pictures I did take will tell the story.

Wow, I missed this one as when you posted I was in a medically induced coma with a ventilator tube down my throat...

Reg does really nice work! How much do you figure he spent on it?

I hope to make it to a Procrastinators Anonymous meeting someday...
just as soon as the steering committee gets around to scheduling one!

Hi, I missed your question due to being in a retirement induced coma.
I really must get some photos of the finished product.
It has a TV with a hard drive loaded with about 300 movies; rather than cart all the DVD's around, he loaded his collection onto the HDD.
Music centre /radio.
Microwave.
Built in ice chest.
12V DC with solar.
240V AC.
Two super duper Aussie Traveler doors.
Outside is signboard and propeller plate aluminium.
Lots of lighting, etc.

Whole lot came to about $A7000, he was telling me today as we discussed what he should ask for it.
(He's already building #2)
