Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Hello all - I am building a 5x8 teardrop using Tony's book and a few modifications. I decided to go with fiberglass on and monstaliner because I like the colors that would be available. Also it just seemed simpler and more easily waterproofed than layers of plywood and filon or aluminum with corners to seal.

Here are my questions:
1. I am thinking about painting the roof and the sides in different colors, and painting some kind of simple graphic on the sides. The top would be one color and the sides a contrasting color and the graphic on the sides would be int he same color as the roof. To do this, I imagine I will need to mask off the monstaliner paint so that I just work with one color at a time. Anybody have any thoughts about this idea?

2. I am wondering how much difference the paint color would make for comfort inside. I live in the NW and plan to use the trailer primarily in northern latitudes (although I do plan at least one trip to Southern California). So I am debating about dark color on the roof and light on the sides, or light on the roof and dark on the sides. Also thinking that dirt and road wear might be a factor in the decision.

3. Finally, if the paint gets dinged or dingy, is it difficult to touch up the monstaliner a few years down the line?

I can't answer your first question since I have not done it. But I think it would be a challenge to create a graphic with different colors of Monstaliner. I'm scratching my head over, pulling the masking tape at the right time.

Assuming you are building with 2" of foam board in the ceiling and 3/4" in the walls, you won't be able to tell the difference from solar heat no matter what color you choose.

To apply over it, Skuff it with the brown scratch pad provided, Clean with MEK if its not available in your area smuggle it
They offer an alternative; Haven't used it.
Mine is white top /front; with gray sides, Rear (had to look)
