seeking advice on truck bed liner over fiberglass

Hi all-

I'm building a "standy".

Outer shell is exterior plywood covered with 4oz fiberglass and Raka resin. I'm mid-way through this process now...

Thinking about putting "truck bed liner" over the FG.

I see more threads here that mention "Monstaliner" than any other DIY truck bed liner. Is "Monstaliner" viewed as The Best?

What about primer? What is recommended for truck bed liner over FG?

I did build a similar camper years ago, and put Rustoleum marine primer and paint over FG. It was fine, and I liked that repairs would be easy to do since you could sand or grind off the paint, apply repair to FG/resin as needed, reprime and repaint. Would this be true of Monstaliner (does it stick to itself???)?

Thanks in advance.

Bob

I don't know what the best is, but Monstaliner is a good product. I strongly recommend using their primer so you'll have a chemical bond instead of a mechanical one.

Any time you work with epoxy it's important to scrub the surface with soap and hot water to remove amine blush BEFORE you sand. Even if you use a non-blushing resin, it doesnt hurt to wash it thoughly.
