I tow with a Jeep XJ and a Jeep LJ both with Goodyear Duratrac tires. I use matching wheels and Duratrac tires on my off road trailer (link below) simply so I don't have to carry a spare. I've never had any problems or even concerns about them. I just put a set of Canadian Tire Total Terrain tires, which are a house brand of Cooper Discoverer ATP's, on my tear drop which I'm able to have a spare on. As soon as the snow melts I'll be out testing them. I don't expect any problems with such a light trailer.
As for elevating my tires when the trailers sit for a while, I do that too. It's better on the tires and I like to crawl around underneath because there's always something to do.
