Hi list,

Afew years ago a friend of mine build this mini TD to put behind its Trabant. As it was only to be used at clubmeetings he leftout a kitchen and used the hatch to get in. The design was taken from a Picolo caravan designed in Germany in the 1950's for a sleeping trailer to put behind a BMW Isetta bubblecar..

I put some pictures online at:

Hey Trabant,

That's tiny. But if you don't need a kitchen, why not?!

In fact, that is like Len Daddona's tiny teardrop. And he uses a portable camp kitchen.

I would use mine only to visit Trabant meetings where you dont need to cook much.. All dinners are catered for... Little cooking can also be done on a campingtable or you can build a separate kitchenbox that travels in the car...

Hi again Trabant...

How's your design coming along for your tiny travel trailer? Do you have any sketches or pictures to share with us yet?

Since you don't need a galley, you could do something like this...

That is cool but by the looks of it it looks as if that pic comes from Europe, I dont know how you could get plans for that?

Mike,

Sadly my time is very limited due to work and other hobbies... I have time. The car wil not be on the road until spring 2005 and first need to be run in before she can tow anything. Thats because the engine is a fresh overhauled one... May be I will start designing during those long winterevenings.... I love the trailer. It is a modern remake of the old Piccolo made in Germany...

Regards,

Michael Staats
