Canvas attachment on wild goose

I'm having a really hard time figuring out how the canvas works on the wild goose/kampmaster. It seems to be simultaneously attached to the edge of the hatch, and the door frame. But if that were the case, How can it close?

Zack,

As I recall, the canvas is attached after the hatch is raised and the door frame is erected using snaps or turn button fasteners.

So the canvas is completely seperate? Thats disappointing...it sounds like its not really a pop up, but more like setting up a tent.

I just sold my original Kampmaster and yes the canvas is seperate from the body. It takes about 3-5 minutes to raise the hatch and attach the canvas. I sold the trailer to a buddy so if you build one I could help with patterns.
