Hey all you southerners--

My brother just accepted a job in Clearwater, FL. He will be working for a construction company doing gutters, sewages systems, etc. I think his first job will be improving the streets of downtown with new blacktop and pavers. He'll be moving in two weeks, his wife in three. Any suggestions for a newcomer?  I'll bet he should change those California plates soon.

Floridians are used to seeing out of state plates. He wont have to change those until they expire.
Lots of great beaches in Clearwater and some good saltwater fishing if you like that sort of thing.
And no state income tax........thats a good thing!

Clearwater? Reminds me of Maderia Beach! Also Treasure Island... Hey wait a minute, I got married there...

I guess I've spending too much time in Naples.

Great! I spent 2 weeks there a couple years ago at nearby Madeira Beach. It is a great community and I noticed alot of people over 55 years of age. That keeps it nice and quiet!

There is great fishing at the piers near John's Pass.
