I am in the process of building the walls and creating sliding screen doors for the Runlite. My brain has been working overtime on this one, will it work  won't it work  who knows :worship:

Ross,
The Runlite is looking good, wish we had a dropped floor, but decided that too late. Will you have it ready for Helen? Are you making reservations?

Frank,
I am hoping that it will be ready for the Helen run. I will make our reservations tomorrow morning. As for the "basement", we really don't have that much storage in this camper, so every little bit helps.

Chip,
I placed the axle on top of the springs in order to lower it, which meant that I needed to cut a little relief out of the spring mounting channel ( which is the way Kevin Hauser of Kuffel Creek specs it to be done).
The floor frame is built using (from the ground up), treated 1/2"ply on a treated 2 X 4 frame. Insulated then covered with 3/8" CDX ply for the main deck floor with 4 coats of poly.
The side shape will have the teardrop shape and the wheels will be tucked under the side walls, however, it has a bowed roof from front to back. I love a good challenge  :x :?
Here is what I am using as so called plans, which got from Jim Blewett's Tiny Tears: http://www.tinytears.cc/Scans/Runlite.pdf

Hey Frank,

Our reservations were made earlier this week. Carla is taking that Friday off from work, so we should be getting there around 1:00 pm or so. Anybody else going?

Postby rmcelroy » Sun Jun 26, 2005 8:52 am

Hi all, you don't know me but I have been reading a bit here for a few weeks. I have drawn plans, have a digi camera and notebook and would like to come over and see all of your work, take notes and see who brags the most ;) I'm in Birmingham and have been to Unicoi a couple of times, I really like it.
Sonds like a lot of fun!

Regie

Sounds good Regie. Make sure you bring the drawings of your camper. I have never been to Unicoi State Park but have been to Hiawassee. My Grandfather had a small cattle farm there. It is a beautiful area of Georgia.

See you next month,
Ross

Thanks guys, I'll have to slum it in my tent this time. Hopefully I can sell it off soon. This should be a really great project-with a fun toy to play with afterward.

Ross

Jane & I will make it to Unicoi. We should be in by noon on Friday

For those that haven't been to Unicoi before, the Unicoi Lodge has a great buffet - Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Hey Dan,
Glad you and Jane will be able to join us. Can't wait to here about Minden.

Chip,
Believe you me, bud.......there are roots everywhere. Getting ready to head up to Mystic CT for the Tearjerkers BIG rally and I bet you I will find a few roots up there.
