I don't think I'll be making it Ross. My operation will be Nov 30th and I'll be in the hospital recovering from surgery 3-5 days.

I posted that before I knew of your surgery, Dennis. You and Darla will surely be missed. There is always Mystic,CT next year. Or maybe we can find somewhere in upstate Virginia to have a small gathering. 8)

Take care of yourself,

Ross, Virginia sounds good and we have to work in my Dads place at Lake Sinclair GA too. The beach trip is only 5 weeks away folks; lets spread the word and get ready. Anybody have one of those deep friers they could bring ? I'll donate a Turkey. Chip, you going to use Franks spare ?

Still dreaming (scheming, begging, borrowing... hahaha)

Sounds like a hoot!!! Have lots of tacky christmas decor, but no doors on my TD... Looks like it might be Christmas before I get finished enough to try to camp in it ... Did my LAST tent camping last weekend... Had enough sleeping on the ground.

It is with great sadness that I must say that we will most likely not make it.

Looks like my boss isn't willing to let me take the Thanksgiving holiday period off and still take a couple of days for Myrtle Beach. After deliberating the 8 hour drive from Atlanta at length, we are going to prepare to see you all again at Little Talbot in February.

Have lots of fun for us, too!

Hey Alan,
We have a smoker and would be happy to bring it down. For an average size turkey, it should take about 3-4 hours to gitter dun. So if you want to bring down the turkey, just make sure that it has been in the refrig for at least 2 days. If the bird is still frozen inside, it won't cook evenly. We can also do up a Green Bean Casorole....DO style

Ross

PS: Hey Frank, got the Weekender painted yet? Are you using an oil based paint?
