Hey Jim,
Go ahead and make your reservations with Fort Chiswell RV Campground. Make sure that you tell them you are with the TearJerkers Group.

So far, I beleive that the count is some where around 42 teardrops/campers.

About a week or so ago, I called the campground and blocked out an additional 10 sites.

Only problem is that dang Army National Guard Drill Weekend thing. It always comes around when something else is planned! :x After spending last year in Kosovo, we are happy we are here working on our teardrop rather than stationed overseas. God bless those who are away serving our country.

I guess after 33 years for me, and 30 for my beautiful wife, we should be used to it by now. But, both being Master Sergeants it's kind of hard to miss drill weekends......

If there's any way possible we'll be there, but it ain't a lookin too good for those dates... :(

Wow sid! Both MSGS? I feel like I should be standing at parade rest while typing this.....im pretty sure thats my drill weekend too! Sucks huh? WOuld be a blast!

Kind of wondering what the site numbers are that are being blocked out for the event :QM I have the camp map and am looking to where we will be. Last count I saw was 72 people and 38 teardrops :QM

Was in the NY ADK last week and there were people there that are coming to or stopping by the event. Some people that stayed there before said to be prepared for the heat. Very little or no shade. Of course they new Chip :picklejuice:

Hey Dennis,

We have blocked out sites 1-50. Now, there may be a few class A's mixed in with us in the sites 1-40, but they should be towards the entrance of the campground. The island sites, 1 - 40 are the only 50 amp sites in the entire campground.

I have noticed several post on other forums about folks scarfing up a/c units and getting ready for the hot weather at the N/S,, I know of three in our group down south that are hooking up the coolers,,, I wonder how many more there are,,, I actually got one working real good last weekend, it even cycles on and off at the right thermostat setting,, that is after I ran a return line back to the a/c so it knows its cool inside,,,

see yall in Va.

I'm switching shifts at work, & might be able to go. Would I be able to double up on a site if I get there without reservations? I'll still pay, of couse. Terry
