zapj wrote:Hey Becca a Friday night social sounds good. Haven't figured out what to bring for the pot luck just yet. Cooking not being a favorite camping experience I keep it real simple then something like this happens and I'm lost. Any suggestions as to needs including non eatables I can handle without problems. :)

Hi Jim! Haven't seen you in awhile - how are you?

Don't sweat the meals, just keep it simple. Chips and dip for Friday night and bring some potatoes rolls or a pie from the bakery. That way you don't have to cook anything.

Site 47 might become available. An NSSO member booked the site and may not be able to make the gathering. Nancy will keep me posted and I will do the same here.

Carol - site 59 isn't going to make it, but her site is already taken

You can remove Mabel and I from the potluck list and the Friday night event list too. Thanks.

OK -- I grabbed site 30 -- this is my first Teardrop event!
I'll look at the potluck list to see what to bring -- anything specific?
Soooo excited!

Yaaay Lou!! Glad you got the spot! What day are you leaving? I "plan" on leaving Thursday about 1:00. If you or anyone else in these parts wants to caravan please let me know.

Getting a slow response to the pot luck so I'm not sure what we need. Take a look on the first page, first post and you can see what others are bringing.

Looking forward to meeting you Lou!

I'll bring a green salad for the pot-luck.

We'll be there Thursday night, anyone up for hand and foot?

Arrival

Postby Lou Drop Inn » Thu Jan 27, 2011 8:57 am

Becca,
I have the site for Thursday night through Saturday night (leave Sunday), but I am not sure if I'll be asking for Thursday off from work on not. Might be a late arrival. I'll let you know if I can get Thursday off or not.

Good deal Lou. I'm normally off on Friday and Monday's but decided to work this Friday so I could have next Thursday off. It will be like a real vacation! I don't know what time Fran is flying in so the departure time is up in the air, but, I'd like to try and leave around 1:00ish.

Don't know what time Mabel and I are arriving - leaving SW Michigan around noon on Wednesday and driving straight through.

Really looking forward to meeting everyone, and checking out your trailers. Hoping for some good ideas for the 1958 Serro Scotty Teardrop that fell into my lap last summer and needs a total rebuild. Bringing my very rare 1959 Rear Door Serro Scotty.

Be careful on the road...that's a long haul. That will be a treat to see your rare Scotty. I am hoping to arrive by 4:00 p.m. Thursday but haven't talked to Fran yet to see when she arrives that day.
