I'am a little confused, has a date and place been set yet? If not SOMEONE PICK ONE then the rest of us can make plans or not. I understand eveyone won't be able to make it. But we need to plan on a date.Even if we get just a hand full of campers it will be alright.
I'd also like to throw in Tims Ford Lake as a thought,I know i'ts in southern Tn. but i'ts a nice, simple park.
OK WHO'S GOING TO MAKE THE CALL?
LET'S HAVE SOME FUN

I just made reservations at Joe Wheeler for Sept 22 and 23rd. I hope to see some of you guys there, if not I'll have to tell boring stories to anyone that walks by.

A site map is here www.alapark.com/parks/pdfs/joewheeler/j ... undmap.pdf

I'm going to try to get a view of the water-let me know which loop looks best to ya'll.

I just looked up Wheeler, and it is a little too far for us for a weekend. We are coming from north GA around the Lake Lanier area. Guntersville was a suggestion someone made at one point, and that looks good to us. I am not sure what weekend is best - my hubby is checking his schedule.

I know what you mean mincey-I'll see if I can cancel JW. Gunterville is just as good for me but better for you guys. I was just trying to be bold and get something going. I had kinda pushed for Guntersville and didn't seem to get much response.

Since I have never camped at either place they look equally suited to me.

Let me know what hubbies calander says and we'll go ahead. It may just be us but at least we'll be there.

If there are any options I would prefer later in Sept-to escape the heat.

See ya

Chip we'll look for ya-hope you can make it. To be honest I bailed on Unicoi, eventhough I really love the park, because of distance. I have relatives that want to see TD's but their tow vehicles really suck it up (thats why I built a tear).

I hope your issues get worked out-don't need details, BTW how long will pickle juice keep, in the freezer? I got some of the good stuff, you know from Mexico or Kansas or wherever it is they make it. :)

How is the weather in North AL in the beginning of Nov? Just in case Sept doesn't work out? Our Oct is pretty well booked with two long-drive camping weekends. Of course anyone is welcome to join us at those too!!!

Weekend Oct 13th - Four Paws Kingdom, Rutherfordton, NC http://www.4pawskingdom.com Reserved Site #40
This is actually a T@B rally that got thrown together, but us T@Bbies love real teardrops as well!!! We adopted a teardropper at our last rally in May :)

Weekend Oct 27th - Little River Village, Townsend, TN

This is just a weekend that we hope to see some nice fall leaf colors and visit the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

I had already planned on Guntersville or Bucks Pocket Sept. 22. They are both about an hour and a half to two away from me but about 20 minutes from a girl that wants to accompany me. Will you other TD'ers let a tent camper join you as I am don't like to pull the camper for just a couple of nights

Alright then it looks like the date will be September 22,23,24 at Lake Guntersville State Park. :applause: Thats great that we now have a date to shoot for. Those that can't make this date let's set up for another date but try and make this one. Lets get the word out to other TTT campers, this is a great time and place for camping. Can't wait to meet other crazy people like me who thought building these campers would be easy. Come by even if you can't stay the whole weekend. COME ONE COME ALL. Speaking for myself only I don't care if you don't have a teardop come on out and camp with us.

Come on down!

Guntersville is great, I know you'll love it. It is right on the lake and the sunsets are beautiful. Hope we can come, but that is Big Spring Jam weekend in Huntsville so we'll have to see.

Alabama is a great place to camp (so says a native)!

ps Tenters are our friends
