Southern Appalachian Chapter * Spring Fling 2005*

Postby Ross Wade » Sun Oct 31, 2004 8:58 pm

The Southern Appalachain Chapter of the TearJerkers Spring Fling will be held at Raccoon Holler in Glendale Springs, NC. May 20-22, 2005 www.raccoonholler.com

We are looking for a trailer count now and on April 15,2005 (when they reopen for the 2005 season), I will call and have them block out enough sites for us. At that time, you will be able to call and reserve your site. This way we will all be together.

Raccoon Holler campground is right off the Blue Ridge Parkway, in beautiful Ashe County, NC. There is lots to see. The Church of the Frescoes, hiking, canoeing, fishing in the New River and North Carolina's only cheese factory, Ashe County Cheese, are all close by.

Gee, Ross!

Looks like SOMEBODY sent me the wrong dates for that gig (no, NOT you!) to put on our DESTINATIONS! Page! I'll get that fixed A.S.A.P.!

And Alan:

Somebody is saying that the Myrtle Beach gig in December is in South Carolina and not Florida. Since I'm a native left-coaster that's only been east of the Mississippi once (upstate NY), and never did too well in geography, would you mind clearing that up for me, please?

Please don't blame it on the fact that I'm from Cal-LEE-For-NYA, 'cause I don't make that claim anymore - I now hail from, and reside in, the Free State of Jefferson! ;-} ;-}

CHEERS!

Campadk; Made the drive many a time from my home at Wasaga Beach, Ont. I would plan on one night on the road. Not exactly sure where you are in the great north woods of home. If you come bring me some Mars bars and Coffee Crisp candy bars.

We may

Postby anonymous2 » Mon Nov 01, 2004 8:43 pm

Hi Ross, We are new to this scene,as we got our tear a week ago. I have talked to Chip,and may get to meet him near Thanksgiving when we come to Greenville to visit friends. We would like to attend,but we are kayakers also,and a Lake Jocassee kayaking event in SC. may cause us to cancel if it falls on the same weekend. The Jocassee event is not planned yet,and won't be until March. We would love to meet you all. Dave & Kate we could hook up on Route 81 somewhere,and travel down together. It looks like a 17 hour drive for you. Campgrounds look great. For now count us in.

Thanks, pateardropper
