From the tread killer tread a get together. I am thinking a picnic lunch in a park? Place and time to be decided, a weekend would be best, before this snowbird heads north. If interested reply here, ideas welcome.

Del, that's great! I don't know that side of the bay that well, my only suggestion anywhere near you is the Winghouse on 301 across from Florida state fairgrounds and just south of I-4. I know there are a few places in Brandon on Hwy 60 (the exit where the mall is off I-75) but I can't think of a specific place off hand. If you know a good place closer to you I'm sure I can find it. Usually I'm off on Fridays but we've been working alot of overtime lately so saturdays or sundays would probably be better for me. I would also suggest starting a new thread with a time and location, there are some people (for reasons unknown to me) that don't read this thread.

You might want to see if an admin can let you run this in two or more catagories, I'd suggest this, general discussion and off topic if possible. In any case I'll be there (where ever you decide) Did you see the post about the RV show?

ARe you heading back to WA before winter is over Del? Gosh I think I would stay a few more weeks. Spring is gonna start soon.

Oh and I don't think anyone cares if you double this up somewhere else. :thumbsup:

I did see that, and those shows involve large groups of people and alot of walking, two things I do not deal well with.

Does anyone know of a park that is easily assesable we can meet at? I am not from here and only know of two parks. This weekend I will be in alabama, but next weekend would be good though.

Del, the only park I'm sure of is Ft. Desoto Stae Park on the south side of St. Pete but I'll reseach it and try to find some more choices. Bob

A quick look at mapquest shows Vance Vogel Park at the next exit south of Gibsonton on I-75 at Big Bend Rd. (east side of 75 about 4 miles south of Gibsonton Rd) if you should happen to be out and about you may want to check it out. Looks like its right next to the interstate, a pretty large park and should be easy to find.

That park is just down the street from me on bull frog creek road, so I can drive down there today and check it out.
