SPRING FLING AT THA HOLLER *2009*
May 15 – 17, 2009
Raccoon Holler Campground in Glendale Springs, NC

This will be Co-Hosted by the Southern Appalachian and Old Dominion Chapter's. Hope to see a few more folks from Virgina.

We will be camping under a canopy of pine trees, in the heart of Christmas Tree country at Raccoon Holler Campground in Glendale Springs, NC. www.raccoonholler.com Once again, the White House Christmas Tree came from Ashe County.

When you call or email the campground to make your reservations, make sure you tell them you are with the TearJerkers so we will all be together. The sites will cost $22.00 per night per 2 adults. They DO NOT take plastic....cash or checks only and due upon check-in. I had Janet (campground manager) reserve 16 sites for us. Once you make your reservations, please let me know. If we need more sites, I can always have them reserved for us.

Raccoon Holler Campground is right off the Blue Ridge Parkway, in beautiful Ashe County, NC. There is a lot to see. The Church of the Frescoes, hiking, canoeing, fishing at the campground lake and in the New River and Ashe County Cheese, North Carolina's only cheese factory,as well as, local wineries.

Hope to see everyone 'round tha campfire again.

Hey Gang,

I got the weekend off and we're coming! Barring a miracle and incredible progress between now and then on my build, will most likely be tent camping. But hoping to see a lot of teardrops and get some ideas/advice for my build!

Al in Asheville!

Hi Gang,

We'll be there. My 10yo Daughter wants to go fishing, but I don't know how to fish and we don't have any of the equipment. Would enjoy tagging along with someone else if they want to show a 10yo and her Dad how to fish...

AL.

Hi Al,

I can probably help with this. Can bring some basic gear along. I fly fish, but can bring spinning tackle for you and daughter. Please PM and remind me as we get closer.

The wife I are going to try to make this if at all possible. I go back to work tomorrow from a week off :( so, have to see if I can take another day that soon, still might come any way.I think we can be there and set up before dark on Friday even if we have to work. Look forward to meeting every one and seeing some campers our size! This past week we were in Charleston SC surrounded by a bunch of motor coaches and 5th wheels and no camp fires anywhere.Everybody stayed inside except to walk their dogs!
