Taters

Postby Alfred » Sun Nov 01, 2009 1:31 pm

Hey Jim,

I just stopped by the Davidson River get-together yesterday, and one of the fellows was talking about how you had come to Davidson River a couple of years ago, and you made the best potato salad he had ever tried!

Yeah, come to think of it, he did mention they tarped your camper down and you didn't have doors. That's what brought it up, actually.

We were talking about my situation and they were telling me, "There was this fellow named Jim came up from Savannah, his tear didn't have any doors and we tarped it down...And I tell you, he made the best potato salad I ever had...", or something to that effect.

I might still show up, haven't even gotten mine primed yet, though. What's the weather like for tent camping down there? I already cancelled the reservation - Think anyone would have room for me to pitch a tent? I've thought about getting a Hampton Inn room, too. We're going to Tampa for Thanksgiving, not sure about two trips to Fla in one month.

What are you camping in now?

Postby Alfred » Sun Nov 01, 2009 3:10 pm

Hey Jim,

What are you camping in now, anyway? You sold the tear didn't you? Seem to recall you bought a canned ham or something similar?

Probably Won't Make It...

Postby BobR » Sun Nov 01, 2009 7:44 pm

Well I was hoping to get there but I still haven't finished the new trailer (RT3T). I have to be in CA by the 12th to meet up with my old Desert Mayhem buddies for a founders day celebration and the start of a 20 day road trip. I hope you all have a great time and I will try to catch up with all of you next year. Enjoy the gathering. The good news is that there will be more alcohol for the rest of you

Hi all,

Just a quick note on the temps. They've been in the 60's and 50's during the night. Daytime is wonderful but do bring the sweaters.

It doesn't have to be anything super special to bring on thursday night. Whatever is easier or not difficult to make. Be creative. Remember a simple dish that might feed 4 people for example. Everyone would get a little from every dish present. Just something simple. If you want we could start a quick list of who might be bringing what so we don't end up with alot of one thing.
