With tax time off our backs we'll be ready for a break. Let's gather at Edisto Beach State Park, South Carolina, April 21-23, 2006. This park is quite popular and fills up pretty quick. If you think you want to come, make reservations at http://www.discoversouthcarolina.com/st ... p?PID=1298
Phone # 843.869.2756

Fain and I have site #55 reserved in the main park area.
The sites have water and electicity. The Edisto Chamber of Commerce has a list of restaurants and other stuff. http://www.edistochamber.com/

Driving Directions: From Hwy. 17 : take Hwy 174, 28 mi. to entrance of the town of Edisto Beach. As you enter the town limits, the entrance to the park will be on your left.

Hope to see old friends and make new ones.

If all goes well with my build, We'll try for the Edisto gathering. April at the SC Beach sounds like an ideal outing. Hopefully, the Bluefish will be migrating through that area about that time, and I have a recipe for BBQ bluefish that is out of this world. :awesome: I have't had any since before I left Maryland 5 years ago. If anyone wants the recipe, let me know. It works well for any fish that has lots of oil in it, like Florida Mullet, but I've also used it on fresh water bass in the oven. Don't let "BBQ" throw you off. It contains lemon juice, vinegar, margerine, and mustard, not any tomatoe based sauce. Maybe I'll post it on the recipe thread.

:o Doesn't look like a lot of activity on this thread.

We haven't made reservations for this outing but it looks like we will be able to make it. Should have reservation by next week.

We also have a new recipe for the Dutch Oven. We will try it out on whoever shows up.

I'm still hoping I can get my TTT ready in time, but won't make reservations until I am sure I can have it ready. I was looking at the one in NC in May. If I can/t make Edisto, maybe Glendale will be doable.

Rites of Spring gathering

It looks like there is only 1 site (#eighteen) left in the beach campground area although there are a number of sites in the Live Oak campground. If you are planning to come make your reservations soon. This park fills quickly.
Hope to see familar faces and lots of new ones!

The Edisto Gathering is 2 1/2 weeks away, how about a show of hands on those planning on coming. We plan to arrive mid-morning on Friday.
